Assignment Overview

Welcome to PARAGRAPH POWER with amazing animals!

paragraphs are built, find their key parts, and create your own!

You'll practice:
- SPOTTING topic sentences (the leader of the pack)
- FINDING off-topic sentences (the ones wandering away)
- BUILDING paragraphs from scrambled sentences
- WRITING your own well-structured paragraph

Let's get started!

Writing Steps
1 Paragraph Detective
Read each paragraph about Amazing Animals carefully.
For each one, you'll identify:
- Which sentence is the TOPIC SENTENCE
- Which sentence (if any) is OFF-TOPIC
- Which transitions help connect ideas
Every well-built paragraph has key parts that work together:

1. TOPIC SENTENCE - The main idea, usually first
It tells the reader what the whole paragraph is about.

2. SUPPORTING DETAILS - Facts, examples, or reasons
These sentences back up the topic sentence.

3. CONCLUDING SENTENCE - Wraps it up
Restates the main idea or connects to what comes next.

4. UNITY - Everything belongs
Every sentence should connect to the topic. Off-topic sentences break unity.
